Blog of a DX-hunter from the capital of Belgium, attempting to reach the top of DXCC with vertical and wire antennas, 100W (usually less), a lot of patience and little spare time
In my ham carreer so far I've been using only vertical and wire antennas.
Since beginning of May 2023 I put an hexbeam on the roof.
Working decently from 6 to 80 meters.
The G5RV doing a great job tonight, using all 100W of the IC-7300.
Another new one, not really in the best season for 80m propagation.
Impressive ears! +02 on 80m/FT8 from YB1BZV.
After a couple of years my long G5RV is back to the roof.
It's for sure not the best season for 80m but I can decode YB0RUS tonight.
Tried to reply several times but nothing. And he probably gave up CQing...
